RECREATION
Think of it as the little Sahara desert with volleyball. With over a half-mile of lake frontage and 1000 feet of soft, sandy beach on the shores of Sanford Lake, this popular recreation area is a wonderful spot to nurture that golden tan and enjoy the sun.
Playgrounds, pavillions, ball diamonds and fishing banks all in the heart of Sanford. Located at the end of Lincoln St.
A step back to a simpler time, Veterans Memorial Park is located in the Village of Sanford. The park is host to playgrounds, multiple pavillions, hiking trails and a canoe launch into the Salt River.
Run, Walk, Skate, or pedal your way down the 30 mile paved rail-trail running from the Midland Tridge to Clare. Sanford has a trail head located right downtown where you can stop off for a bite to eat or shop.
Located just outside the Village is 325 acres of diverse terrain, with 10km of marked trails. Pine Haven welcomes hikers, mountain bikers, and cross county skiers to challenge themselves.
Senior Services Sanford center is located at 113 W. Lincoln St. Meals are available Monday - Friday. Reservations are required, please call 989-687-7888 by 9:00 am for your reservation.
